Your data outgrew your tools
Legacy MAPs force a rigid, contact-centric data model. CDPs activate warehouse data but can't execute campaigns. Your team ends up stitching together three or four tools just to get a complete picture of your customers.
Legacy MAPs
Rigid data models
Built around contacts and leads, with custom objects bolted onto a single contact and no warehouse or product data. Everything lives in flat field lists that can't represent how your business actually works.
CDPs & CEPs
Assembly required
CDPs unify data but can't execute campaigns. CEPs execute but depend on external data piping and lack native CRM sync. Either way, you're stitching tools together to cover the gap.
Conversion
Unified model + execution
One flexible data model with custom objects, native CRM sync, and warehouse connections. Build and execute campaigns from the same platform your data lives in.
Native Salesforce sync engine
Bidirectional sync built into the core of the platform. Campaigns, custom objects, leads, contacts, and opportunities stay in sync, and your changes reach Salesforce in seconds. No third-party connectors, no middleware.
Sync activity
Monitor data syncing between Conversion and Salesforce
Bidirectional
Configurable conflict resolution
Campaign sync
Members, statuses, and lead assignment
Custom objects
Standard and custom Salesforce objects
Audit trail
Detailed change history on every sync
From warehouse to workflow
Connect Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Redshift, ClickHouse, or PostgreSQL and bring modeled data directly into your campaigns. No reverse ETL layer required.
Plan, seats, and renewal date for every paying account, linked to its company.
Feature usage from the product database, matched to contacts by email every hour.
“We're trying to aggregate data and make data-based decisions versus marketing-based decisions. Conversion allows us to do that.”

Common questions
Everything you need to know about how Conversion handles your data.
Conversion natively connects to Salesforce, Snowflake, BigQuery, Databricks, Amazon Redshift, ClickHouse, and PostgreSQL. You can also bring data in through the REST API, which tools like Segment and Hightouch plug into, and CSV import. Warehouse connections pull directly from your modeled tables without requiring a separate reverse ETL tool.
Anything your business tracks beyond contacts, companies, and opportunities, like subscriptions, workspaces, products, or invoices. Each custom object gets its own records and fields, including relationship fields that link it to contacts, companies, opportunities, or other custom objects. Custom objects are part of the Enterprise plan.
Our Salesforce sync is bidirectional and built into the platform core. Leads, contacts, accounts, and campaign members sync both ways, and opportunities, contact roles, and Salesforce custom objects sync in. Your changes reach Salesforce in about ten seconds, and Salesforce updates come back every few minutes. Every change is logged with its old and new values, and there are no third-party connectors or middleware involved.
Yes. Each linked field gets one of five sync modes: Two-way sync, Prefer Salesforce unless empty, Always prefer Salesforce, Always prefer Conversion, or Do not sync. A contact field can sync one way with the Salesforce Lead and another way with the Contact.
Sync activity lists every inbound and outbound batch with the records created, updated, skipped, and failed. Open a batch to see each record's old and new values or the reason it failed, like a validation rule, and requeue it once it's fixed.
No. Someone with admin access to your warehouse creates a read-only connection once. From then on, marketing ops writes the query for each sync with a built-in schema explorer, previews the rows, maps them to objects in Conversion, and sets a schedule. There are no dbt models to maintain and no engineering tickets.
CDPs like Segment and mParticle are great at collecting and unifying data, but they do not execute campaigns. You still need a separate MAP to send emails, run workflows, and manage lifecycles. Conversion combines the data unification of a CDP with full marketing execution in one platform, plus a native Salesforce sync that neither category typically offers.
