How Conversion works with Slack
Conversion connects to Slack in two ways. Workflows post messages to the channels you choose, filled in with contact and company data as each contact reaches that step. The Slack agent, an AI teammate, answers questions and takes on requests when someone mentions it, posts in a channel it watches, or sends it a direct message.
What you can do
Alerts from any workflow
Send a high-intent lead to #sales-alerts or a lifecycle change to customer success the moment a contact reaches that step. Liquid fills in any contact, company, or opportunity field.
An AI teammate in your channels
Mention the Slack agent to ask about contacts, campaigns, or performance and get the answer in the thread. Follow-ups keep the context of the conversation.
You decide when it speaks
Wake the agent on a mention, on every message in a channel you pick, on a direct message, or when someone adds a specific emoji reaction.
Agents that report back
Your other Conversion agents can post their results into Slack, so scheduled QA, reporting, and intake work lands where the team already looks.
What syncs
| Data | Direction | Details |
|---|---|---|
| Workflow messages | Out of Conversion | One message per contact, posted to a public channel or a private channel the Conversion bot has joined. |
| Agent conversations | Two-way | The Slack agent reads the mentions, messages, DMs, and reactions you choose, then replies in the thread. |
How to connect Slack
- 1 Connect Slack from Settings > Integrations to use Slack messages in workflows.
- 2 Invite @Conversion to any private channel you want workflows to post in.
- 3 To add the Slack agent, install the app from Workspace settings > AI. A Slack workspace owner or admin approves the install.
- 4 Choose the events the agent responds to. Start with mentions in a single channel.
