How Conversion works with Splash

Conversion connects to Splash with API credentials issued by Splash and syncs each Splash event into a Conversion field event every hour. RSVPs, waitlist changes, and check-ins update campaign members on the statuses your field event type maps, and registrants who never checked in become no-shows six hours after the event ends. The sync runs one way, into Conversion, and a linked Salesforce campaign picks up every status it writes.

What you can do

Hourly sync

Splash has no guest notifications, so Conversion reads changes every hour. An RSVP on Splash appears within the hour, and Re-sync on the event pulls changes in immediately.

Check-ins become attendance

Checked In or Checked Out on Splash moves the member to your attended status, and registrants who never checked in become no-shows six hours after the event ends.

Paced for Splash's rate limit

Splash allows two API requests per second per Client ID. Conversion stays under it, so a large guest list takes a few minutes to sync, and a throttled run catches up on the next one.

Statuses in Salesforce

Link the field event to a Salesforce campaign and every RSVP, check-in, and no-show reaches its campaign members. An RSVP on Splash becomes Registered in both systems.

What syncs

Data Direction Details
Event details Into Conversion Title, times, registration link, RSVP and waitlist settings, capacity, RSVP count, venue and address, and the event owner as organizer. Splash doesn't provide the time zone.
RSVPs Into Conversion RSVP Yes and Waitlisted guests land on the matching statuses. RSVP No, or a guest deleted from the event, removes the member. Guests without an email are skipped.
Check-ins Into Conversion Checked In or Checked Out moves the member to your attended status.

How to connect Splash

  1. 1 Ask your Splash Customer Success Manager for API access. Splash issues a Client ID and Client Secret for your organization.
  2. 2 Pick the Splash user Conversion will connect as. Conversion sees only the events that user can see, so a dedicated integration user with access to every event works well.
  3. 3 In Conversion, open Settings > Integrations, click Connect on Splash, and enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and that user's email and password.
  4. 4 Use a field event type that maps the registered, waitlisted, attended, and no-show meanings, then connect each field event to its Splash event from the Overview tab before the event ends.

Splash integration FAQ

Yes. Conversion connects to Splash with API credentials issued by Splash and syncs each Splash event into a Conversion field event every hour. No. Conversion signs in to Splash once with the user's email and password and keeps the resulting access current on its own. It stores the Client ID and Client Secret so access can be renewed. If the password changes and Splash ends its sessions, reconnect with the current one.

No. Registration flows one way, from Splash into Conversion, so moving a member to Registered in Conversion changes their status only. Point invitations at the event's Splash registration link, which appears on the field event's Overview tab.

A Conversion workspace Administrator, a Client ID and Client Secret from your Splash Customer Success Manager, and the login of the Splash user Conversion connects as. If another tool already uses the Splash API, you can reuse its credentials, but both then share the same rate limit. Field events are enabled per workspace, so check with your Conversion account team if they aren't turned on for yours.

Yes, when the field event is linked to a Salesforce campaign. RSVPs, check-ins, and no-shows from the Splash sync are pushed to the campaign members, and changes your team makes in Salesforce flow back. Marking someone Registered in Salesforce doesn't register them on Splash.
